The interface of Avast is easy to use, and has distinct distinctions between the various elements. The blue icons are easy to use and come with orange accents that are in line with the logo of the company. The homepage lets you run a scan, and then turn on the VPN as well as shortcuts to a few less-than-utilized tools for system optimization are also available. The fact that Avast’s most useful features are hidden away in the «Explore tab» is infuriating.
Installation is simple, and you’re not obliged to go with the free one. However, a thorough scan will detect «advanced issues» that require premium security to fix. This is a bit sneaky and especially when the Resolve button takes you to a web page asking you to sign up for Avast’s Premium security plan.
